Went there last week, picked up my 6 tacos. Greasy flour shells, no lettuce, a reasonable amount of some kind of cheese, enough ground beef and NO sauce or salsa of any kind. So, I ate them and they were still pretty okay but not really good. Bottom line: I got sick as a dog from them. The place is a pig sty and there was a nightmarish third world scene behind the counter, complete with little kids and sweaty adults all scurrying around in the TINY kitchen area. SCARY STUFF! I honestly think that they should be closed down for unsanitary conditions. As for delivery? I had called several times in the past and not once, ever, did they have a delivery person to deliver, and that includes this night where they got me sick - I only drove there because, once again, when I called they said they have nobody to deliver the food. I rate the dump -5 stars.

The Taco Lady is well known about town and has a small friendly spot. The burritos and tacos i've had are ok to not very good but it is cheap and easy. I will definitely go back and try other items because it is friendly.

Very nice people. Not the greatest atmosphere. Your hole in the wall find. Very good hard shell tacos home made. Awesome burritos. Big portions. On the more expensive side for your average taco place but worth the experience.

I went to my favorite local taco shop for lunch today; THE TACO LADY! At first glance some people might not even enter this fine establishment. Located on a small cross street The Taco lady is a true gem in Downtown Lake Worth. A family run restaurant; it is always staffed by at least one of the Taco lady's reletives including grandchildren durring the summer. Since it is small( seating for 10 inside, 3 out side) take out is recomended. My fovorites are the chicken taco salad w/ black beans (which will eaisly feed two) and the tacos. Today I got 3 soft tacos and one hard; the soft tacos were chicken, pork and shredded beef, the hard was ground beef. My favorites are the chicken and the pork. For those of you that like a little pain with your pleasure ask for the "Hot Stuff" on the side"; they call it salsa, it is more like a paste made of ground peppers. Be careful a little goes along way.

I can't believe I'm the first to review the Taco Lady! The Taco Lady used to sell tacos from a stand in downtown Lake Worth. Finally, she got her own indoor location and has been shelling out stellar tacos and other delicious meals since! The restaurant is quite small and you should probably order delivery or just come and pick it up. I've never had their famous burritos but I will say their tacos are delicious! I'm a big fan of the taco salad too. My family moved out of Lake Worth a few years ago, but we still talk about how great The Taco Lady is. I can't wait to visit so I can get some great tacos. Next time you're in the mood for some tacos, don't you dare go to Taco Bell. Support local businesses and get your ass down to the Taco Lady!

Expect NOTHING but family friendly service, fresh and tasty food in mucho portions (esp El Grande, it's a killer burrito!) from this 3 table little hole in the wall on a side street in Lake Worth very close to but not a part of "the main drag".

Always enjoy picking up some tacos for lunch from The Taco Lady, a wonderful family-run business in Downtown Lake Worth. Yes it is small inside, so take-out is recommended. Great to pick up on the way to the beach. Great tacos and usually my husband and I split the lunch special: 2 Hard Shell and 1 Soft Shell Tacos w/ Rice and Beans for $9.95. Also wonderful to order take-out for large parties. They catered an event at the Lake Worth Pool and every one loved it.

Taco Lady - just good food and nice folks, nothing else. But we locals ain't fancy 'round here. Go back to Boca if you want Perrier with lunch. My friends and I have a tradition of grabbing the outside tables at an off hour for a late lunch. The homemade taco shells are awesome and most people love them. If for some reason you are offended by the price (I can't see how), the best bang for your buck is definitely the rice bowl - you get a huge serving and I swear I have to stop eating for 48 hours prior to eat the whole thing ($5). I like playing with the little kids when I'm there, despite some people somehow also being offended by a couple of tots under 5 years old - it's not like they can even reach my food to sneeze in it for hell's sake. Check it out if you're into eating in decent holes-in-the-wall. Stay away if you wear heels to the beach.

Good things come in small packages! Unless you're looking for the Taco Lady, you probably ain't gonna find her! This hole-in-the-wall establishment is tucked away off Lake Worth's main drag on L St. between Lucerne and Lake. I actually drove past it twice before I found it. As has been touched on before, interior seating is extremely limited. On the three occasions, I've dined here, the owner's kids were doing their homework at two of the three tables, not that I had any issues with that. The business is entirely family-owned and the all of them are friendly and welcoming. The specialty plate here is the "Wet Burrito," a larger than life mound of Tex-Mex goodness. Even the mini-sized version is enough to satisfy your stomach for the rest of the day if you have it for lunch. Never tried the larger sizes, but my guess is you'd need a friend to clean the plate. The taco and enchilada plates are equally delicious, and best of all, the ingredients are FRESH! It's nice knowing that I can eat Tex-Mex food like what's sold here and not have to worry about my digestive system rebelling a few hours down the line. Taco Lady is a keeper! They're gonna need a bigger place real soon.

Its all about the tacos here, especially the hard shells. We tried ground beef, shredded beef and shredded was tastier. The chips were fresh and salsa was a little on the spicey side but still enjoyable. Enchiladas were good with the red sauce. Place is tiny but the staff is extremely nice and we would come back again.

Wow! After living in Lake Worth my whole life stepped into this place today and WOW! Hard Taco is a must! She makes them homemade there with a recipe her mom taught her. I had the pulled pork and pulled beef-both awesome although I preferred the pork. Small place with great food and great service!

Disappointed. Was excited to finally try it and went with a small group of people. Ordered a hard shell ground beef taco and 2 tamales. Place was packed because it was Street Painting Fest Day and they have limited places to sit. Not a big deal and the line really wasn't bad. However, the food definitely took an excessive amount of time to be ready, to the point that I regretted leading us there. Especially considering that there were four employees working then. I did like the shell of the taco, kind of flaky and interesting but the contents were mediocre at best without much flavor. The tamales were only slightly better. Went there tonight with friend from NY and our kids. Meh - meh - meh! It was my 2nd time eating there, and the absolute last. Back in June, I took my Mom who was in town for a visit and that experience was not pleasant either. They have decent food, but the service has much to be desired. Well tonight I decided to give them another try, and well, it was even worse. The chicken quesadillas were yummy, but the service sucked! Bad attitude from the daughter, the same girl who served us during our 1st visit. We had to call them to the table to take our order and go inside at the end to ask for the check. They acted as if we were getting free food. Albeit, Cheap, but not free. And when we asked for a water from the cooler, she said she only had bottled. Okie! Was there some other type of water in there next to the soda, juice and bottled water??? Yes, we want a bottled water, thank you we can afford it. The owner needs to train or fire the family servers and get people with better attitudes. I'll never go back. Don't even know why I left anything of a tip in their plastic tip jar.

Lovely when you're with people who love taco's, alas it is not my kind of food.... Looks delicious, wish I was into Mexican food, so, I'm sorry!!! It's not really a fair review. But you were lovely and the people thought it was OK, so I'm really reviewing on their behalf!!!

Save your health, don't go there! I had diarrhoea after eating here. Very dirty, food in not at all authentic. Even salsa is canned. The young girl who was there was fiddling with her phone while every table was dirty. Not a way to run business. When I tried to clean the table and asked her if she could help clean, she didn't have any cleaning spray to clean. She wetted paper towels with hand soap! This shows that they are not even equipped for cleaning things well for feeding the general public! Will never go there again. Not worth risking one's health.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
